This quite exceptional group of medals, various table medals, certificates and photos was
kindly offered to me by my great friend Yvan Odeurs, before he placed them for sale on eBay.
My purchase was based on the premise that I accorded them the respect befitting such a
respected and brave individual and that they would form a part of my collection.  Suffice it to
    say, I agreed very readily.

The individual who received this group was Monsieur Léonard Joseph Léon of Liege and he
served in the 14th Regiment of the Line during World War 1 as a Corporal. A highly respected
WW1 Veteran, he was very severely injured during that war and in the accompanying
documentation, it was assessed at 100% and more........ After his recovery from his injuries, Mr.
Leon then worked in the Hotel des Invalides.  Among other appointments he held, he was
Secrétaire-Trésorier du Comité de l'Arrondissement de l'O.N.I.G. in Liege, and was
subsequently Directeur and Administrateur General President Federal-adjoint, President
Provincial de Liege, President de la Section de Liege of the Federation Nationale des Militaires
Mutiles et Invalides de la Guerre. However, this an outstanding collection of medals
    documents, letters, certificates and photographs.

Some of the table medals are in great condition, again in their boxes of issue.  They are:
Top Left: Issued in 1935 by the Federation Interalliee Des Anciens Combattants at its 16th
    Congress.
Top Right: Issued to mark the 1830-1930 Centinary of Belgium by Fisch & Co.
Bottom Left: Issued to mark the Exposition Internationale de Liege 1930.
Bottom Right:  Issued on 25 March 1939 by the Federation Nationale Des Militaires
Mutiles et Invalides de la Guerre on its 20th Anniversary.
