Matched Groups of Medals

On this page I am continuing to present some of my groups of medals where I have both the full size medals and matching miniatures.

    This very special matched group on the left features three
    commander level awards.

    Commander of the Order of Merit of the Grand-Duchy of
    Luxembourg
    Commander of the Oaken Crown of Luxembourg
    Commander of Leopold 2.

    The other foreign medals are from right to left;

    Knight of the Order of the Black Star of France
    Knight of the Order of Civil Merit of the Minister of the Interior
    of France
    Officer of the Order of Merit for the Republic of Italy
    Officer of the Order of Orange Nassau of The Netherlands

    The miniature group above is matched with
    the original full size medal group at the right.

    Interestingly, the owner upgraded his Yser
    Medal to an Yser Cross in he miniature
    group, but did not get a full size Yser Cross.
