World War II Croix de Guerre Medals

    I have featured below my collection of World War II and later Belgian Croix de Guerre medals with a range of
    different devices on the ribbons and different ribbons. I trust you will find it interesting.

    Two Leopold III Croix de Guerre medals, one with
    two bronze lions (mention in dispatches on
    regimental or army level) and a bronze palm
    (mention by the War Office.)

    A Croix de Guerre medal with a gilt lion device
    and lion at the centre of the crossed swords
    front and back.

    Two Leopold III Croix de Guerre medals each with
    a lion device for a mention in dispatches.

    A Croix de Guerre medal with simple palm
    device and lion at the centre of the
    crossed swords front and back.

    At the right of this group is a Croix de Guerre medal with
    three bronze palms, one silver palm and a bronze lion.

    At the left of this group is a WWI Croix de Guerre medal with a
    bronze palm and two bronze and one gilt lion. It also sports a
    WWII Leopold Palm on a WWII Leopold III Croix de Guerre

An unissued 1954 Croix de Guerre medal.

    At the right of this group is a WWI Croix de Guerre medal with
    a bronze palm and a WWII Leopold III Croix de Guerre
    awarded posthumously but without a black bar.
