Bill's Belgian Medals

A Collector's View

I am delighted to advise readers that my revamped site has attracted considerable attention and
hence I have continued - and will continue - to expand this record of my collection while also
featuring guest articles and reviews of Belgian medals of interest to collectors.

My collections has continued to expand - despite an absence in New York and Washington - and I
have displayed some examples on this page. However, the bulk of my new additions can be seen
    in the New Acquisitions Pages.

So please browse my website and I trust that you will enjoy what you see. I intend that my
collection will continue to grow and always welcome offers of medals or groups of medals from
fellow collectors to fill gaps in my collection.

So - enjoy Bill's Belgian Medals

I am always interested in acquiring Belgian Resistance Group medals and have recently obtained these three scarce
items from Group 'D' , Organisation Service "D" and the Intelligence and Action Service (SRA).

This exceptional WWI collection came into my
hands some months ago; it includes an unusual
    Russian award

I acquired this extremely scarce "Collier d'Honneur de Doyen
du Travail" given to very skilled workers in Brussels.

When I saw this little 'Commander' group at Wavre, I couldn't resist it. The first award is the Grand-Officer of the
Médaille de l'Éducation Social (Medal of Social Education). The other medals are:
Ordre de l'Encouragement Public; Ordre du Génie Français; Ordre de l'eEcouragement et Dévouement; Médaille
d'Honneur des Services Bénévoles and Mérite Culturel et Artistique

A Great War group with the Order of the Phoenix of

Commander of the Oaken Crown of Luxembourg
    Commander of Leopold 2.

    The other foreign medals are from right to left;

Knight of the Order of the Nothern Star of Sweden
Knight of the Order of Civil Merit of France
Officer of the Order of Merit for the Republic of Italy
Officer of the Order of Orange Nassau of The Netherlands
