    Although I prefer larger groups with certificates wherever possible, I still collect the smaller simple groups such as the civil servant group
    from an individual who served in the Belgian Congo.

    I also prize the Article 4 World War 1 groups and the one on the right still has the matching miniatures, increasingly hard to find these days.

    This nice miniature group was awarded for service in World War 2 and came complete with
    full size medals - again, increasingly difficult to acquire. Thanks to Jan Van de Vel, I now
    know that the religious medal is the Cross of Saint Rombout (Gold).

    Several individual non-official medals have found a place in my collection recently, such as this Officer of the Farnco-Belgian Society at left
    and the wartime air defence medal (gold) at right.
